Kingswood Secondary Academy

Christmas Fair and Show

This year's Christmas Fair and Show took place on Thursday 10 December 2015.

The Fair opened at 5.00 pm in the decorated Atrium and was well supported by parents and friends.  Sixth Form pupils had set up their stalls selling an array of unique items for sale, festive food and fun games to play.   As part of their Business course, Sixth Form pupils take part in a 'Young Enterprise' project which harnesses their personal and business skills.   The pupils take on the role of a small business, sharing the real-life challenges of a small company.  The Fair gives them the opportunity to display and sell their products.  In recent years, some of the companies have gone on to win awards.

At 7.00 pm the Concert began in the Main Hall. As always this was a very enjoyable evening and we hope that everyone who attended left feeling really festive and full of the spirit of Christmas.  Family and friends of the Academy came together to listen to the pupils and staff performing traditional Christmas music, as well as other musical arrangements from the orchestra accompanied by individual pupils and groups of pupils singing.  There were some fantastic performances and the event provided a superb and relaxing evening's entertainment.

A special thanks to everyone who helped organise the event and to our talented pupils for taking part!
