Kingswood Secondary Academy

Local Labour Candidate Visit

Andy Sawford, the Labour candidate for the forthcoming by-election, paid a visit to the Kingswood School yesterday and was accompanied by the Shadow Minister for Education, Stephen Twigg.

Mr Twigg spent thirty minutes with our ‘AS’ and ‘A2’ Government and Politics students in a very informative Question and Answer session.  He commented afterwards on their knowledge and passion for the subject.

After this meeting, Scott Hudson, Headteacher, gave Stephen Twigg a whistlestop tour of the school, visiting the Media Department and also managing an impromptu Question and Answer session with a class of Year 7 students!

Both Andy Sawford and Stephen Twigg left with high praise for the students and Kingswood as a whole, commenting on the excellent atmosphere throughout.

Our students were stunning ambassadors for the school!
